The visual Flow Builder, step by step
Beyond a simple automatic message, the Flow Builder lets you build complete conversation scenarios: buttons, branches, contact tags. Everything is drag-and-drop, from Messaging > Automatic > Flows.
Open the Flow editor
A Flow is built on a visual canvas: you drop blocks on it, connect them together, and the order of connections defines how the conversation unfolds.

Add a message with buttons
Drag a message block onto the canvas, write its text, then add buttons or quick replies to offer the person several choices.

Create a branch based on the reply
Each button can lead to a different block: that is what creates the scenario’s branches, one per possible answer.
Attach the Flow to a trigger
A Flow does nothing until it is connected to a trigger, such as a keyword in a comment or in a message.
A Flow attached to the comment trigger can only send text in its first message: the private reply to a comment stays text-only on Meta’s API side, not a Perroly limit.

Do I need to code to use the Flow Builder?
No, everything is built by dragging and dropping on the visual canvas, no code required.
Can I test a Flow before publishing it?
Yes, a Flow can be tested with your own account before being activated for real.
Can a Flow attached to a comment send an image?
No, only text for its first message: that is a limit of Meta’s API on private replies to comments, not Perroly.
Can I edit a Flow that is already attached to an active trigger?
Yes. Changes apply to new conversations as soon as you save; scenarios already in progress follow the Flow version from when they started.
Can a Flow send a file or a video?
Yes for a regular message, but not for the first reply of a Flow attached to the comment trigger, which stays text-only on Meta’s API side.
Do contact tags set inside a Flow do anything elsewhere in Perroly?
Yes, they stay attached to the contact and can help filter or find a conversation in the inbox.
